  1. Thorough degreasing: This is the most crucial step. Clean your plastics (new or old) with brake cleaner or methylated spirits to remove all traces of grease, silicone or mold-release wax.
  2. Heat forming: Grab a heat gun (or a hair dryer). Gently heating the vinyl softens it and helps it conform to the complex curves, corners and edges of your fairings.
  3. Apply from the center: Apply the center of the sticker first, then push the air out toward the edges using a felt squeegee or your thumb. The vinyl can be repositioned during the first few minutes to get it perfectly aligned.
