How it works ?
Complete guide for a perfect installation of your decor kit on armysctv.com
Step 1: Preparation of the support
Remove the old stickers:
Equip yourself with a hairdryer: Plug it in, turn it on, and then heat the sticker for 2 to 5 minutes. This softens the glue and makes it easier to peel off.
Takeoff: Use your nails or a fine blade (like a cutter) to gently lift the edges of the sticker.
Remove adhesive residues: If glue remains on the fairings, clean with:
Solvent (industrial or nail)
Degreaser or special plastic cleaner
Apply with a clean cloth using light movements.
⚠️ Warning: Always test on a small area to avoid damaging the plastics.
Step 2: Positioning of the decoration kit
Sort the pieces of the decoration kit: Identify the parts corresponding to the right side and the left side of your motorcycle or scooter. Preview: Position each sticker in its place without removing the protective paper. This allows you to check the fit and identify any necessary cuts. Adjust if necessary: If excess stickers appear, carefully cut them out before applying.
Step 3: Gluing the decoration kit
Prepare the workspace: Work in a clean, dust-free environment, sheltered from wind and sun. Make sure that the parts and the decoration kit are at room temperature (minimum 20 °C). Disassemble the parts: For an optimal result, disassemble the fairings to be covered. This simplifies the gluing process and avoids mistakes. Place the sticker: Start from the center: Slowly peel off the protective paper while sticking the sticker. Eliminate air bubbles: Use a clean cloth or a smoothing wedge, making movements from the center to the edges. For areas with contours, gently heat with a hairdryer or heat gun. This makes the sticker more flexible and suitable for the surface.
Step 4: Finishing touches
Final fixation: Once all the stickers are applied, gently heat them with a hairdryer while applying even pressure to activate the adhesive.
Let it rest: Wait at least 24 hours before using the motorcycle or scooter, so that the adhesive sets perfectly.
Eliminate the remaining air bubbles:
Poke the center of the bubbles with a fine pin.
Warm gently with the hairdryer while maintaining light pressure. The air will escape and the bubble will disappear.
