Introduction

1. Preparation of the material

Before starting, prepare the following items:

  • A clean, lint-free cloth
  • A degreasing cleaner (such as isopropyl alcohol, IPA 70% or 90%)
  • A soft squeegee or a plastic card wrapped in microfiber
  • A hairdryer or a heat gun (on low power)
  • Your stickers sorted by parts (fairing, fender, sides, etc.)

Make sure to work in a clean, dry, and dust-free area.

Preparation

2. Preparation of the motorcycle or scooter

Perfect preparation ensures optimal adhesion.

  • Carefully wash the motorcycle to remove dirt.
  • Dry all the fairings.
  • Degrease all surfaces where the decal kit will be applied with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Pay particular attention to:
    the flanks,
    the air box,
    the front and rear fenders,
    the side covers,
    the tank (if applicable).

No trace of grease, dust, or silicone should remain on the plastics.

Pre-installation

3. Dry positioning

Before sticking permanently:

  • Place each sticker in front of its location.
  • Check the orientation, markers, and curves.
  • Visually adjust the overall position.

A dry fit allows you to avoid mistakes once the adhesive is applied.

Installation

4. Application of the decoration kit

The steps below ensure a clean, bubble-free, and durable installation.

4.1 Peeling and positioning

  • Peel off a small part of the liner (the white paper on the back).
  • Position the sticker on the fairing part.
  • First stick one end (usually the center or the straightest edge).

Do not stick all at once: work progressively.

4.2 Progressive sticking and squeegee

  • Proceed little by little, removing the liner as you go.
  • Use a squeegee or a card wrapped in a cloth to smooth the surface.
  • Push the air out from the center towards the edges.
  • If a bubble appears, peel off slightly then stick back on.

Thanks to the FLO anti-bubble adhesive, air escapes easily.

4.3 Light heating

Applying heat softens the vinyl and allows it to perfectly conform to shapes.

  • Heat slightly with a hairdryer (never too hot).
  • Apply extra pressure in curved areas.
  • Do not overheat: an excessively heated vinyl becomes too soft and deforms.
Finishes

5. Adjustments and finishing touches

After sticking all the elements:

  • Check every edge and angle.
  • Heat very slightly to activate the glue and improve adhesion.
  • Press firmly on sensitive areas: ends, curves, angles.

Let the motorcycle rest for at least 24 hours before washing or strong sun exposure.

Information

6. Important Tips

  • Never install a decal kit on a cold or damp surface.
  • Do not use silicone products before installation.
  • Avoid water during installation (dry method recommended for FLO premium vinyls).
  • The cleaner the surface, the longer the adhesion will last.
  • In case of error, peel off immediately and reposition; premium vinyl allows this.

Maintenance of your decal kit

To extend the vinyl's lifespan:

  • Wash the motorcycle by hand (avoid high-pressure washers too close).
  • Use gentle products, without harsh solvents.
  • For glittery or holographic finishes, prefer manual washing only.

Careful maintenance ensures your decal kit stays vibrant for years.
